I needed to change my website design/ style to fit to my audiece so my website is different to Take a breaks website as they have an audience of 25-54 which is different to my target audinec of 16-25 year olds. Take a breaks website is more full on compared to my website which is more simplistic which I think would fit to my audience better. An example of how they are similar would be that we both have a topic a title of our pages, mine is giveaways and there's is competition which shows how I have adapted my language to suit my audience. they are different as take a break for example uses colours like dark purple which I dont think would fit my audience which is why I went for lighter and more pastel colours, along with the choice of topic. For example, they have a puzzle section at the top which I dont think my audience would be interested in, so instead I have a social media section to try and appeal to my audience. This will include lots of pictures and features/ links to our social media accounts, with similar content for cross- media convergence. Codes and conventions of website- same style as print magazine tab bar at the top similar stories compared to print one

My content page and my first two front covers. I still need to make the other contents pages and make some changes to both magazine covers. My covers and contents pages do not look too similar to the example ones and I did this for multiple reasons however the main difference would be our target audience. For example, chat has an average age buyer of 43 and this is not similar to my target audience of 16-25. This told me that I need to change some of the codes and conventions, so I did this through use of language, the model, the more simplistic layout, the colours etc so it would encourage to fit to my traget audience. In a questionnaire I created and sent out to people in this age range, this was the sort of feedback that I got that needed to be changed from the examples I sent out, such a chat, so this then gave me areas I needed to change and how I needed to adapt my covers and contents pages so I did it accordingly. The magazines I looked at have themes such as having a children and a lot of my audience wouldnt be able to relate to that so I used themes such as about celebrities that they would know and like, and social media etc to try and ecourage my audience to my magazine.
